Traditional Japanese ceremony is different from other tea ceremonies, so it is not so easy to find the necessary attributes for making tea in ordinary stores. And the problem is not only in attributes but also in good tea. We solved this problem and created our tea set.

Our main goal was to collect everything necessary for the ceremony in one box. We did it!

What's in the set?

  • Matcha tea. At the heart of any tea ceremony is tea. It can be different, both in price and taste. We chose Matcha from Kyoto prefecture.
  • A traditional teaspoon Chasaku is an unusual form of a bamboo spoon for tea.
  • A Japanese Matcha Bowl is similar to a deep plate of small size. This is an important element in the tea ceremony.
  • The Bamboo Whisk Chasen is also an important item. It allows you to mix tea powder with water.

How to Make Matcha

  1. Add 1-2 teaspoons of tea in Matcha Bowl.
  2. Add 2 ounces (~65 ml) of hot water (~70-85°C / 158-185°F), but not boiling.
  3. Whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion until the tea is frothy.
  4. The tea is ready and you can drink it, straight from the bowl.
