Da Hong Pao from China

This tea has a special place in the tea communities; some call it the "King of Oolong from Wuyi" for its unique taste and a pleasant relaxing effect. It is perfect for afternoon and evening time.

How to Prepare Da Hong Pao Tea

  • Water temperature: 90-100 °C / 194 - 212 °F.
  • Housewares: we don't recommend use paper or plastic.
  • Amount of tea and volume of teapot: 2 teaspoon per 300 ml / 8.4 oz.
  • Number of infusions: 2-4.

 

  1. Place the tea leaves into the teapot and pour water into it.
  2. The first filling lasts a few seconds and the water must be drained, thus washes the tea leaves.
  3. Pour water into the teapot again.
  4. Leave the mixture for at least 45-60 seconds*.
  5. Drain the water out from a teapot and your tea is ready to serve.

 

* Increase time of next brewing for 10-20 seconds.
