Tie Guan Yin from China

This flavor combination is obtained due to the fact that leaf more mature and slightly oxidized. It retains the greatest quantity of vitamins, caffeine, tannin and essential oils. In China, Tie Guan Yin ranks in the top ten for a nice relaxing slightly intoxicating effect and unique taste.

How to Prepare Tie Guan Yin

  • Water temperature: 90-100 degrees Celsius.
  • Housewares: transparent, porcelain or ceramic teapot or mug.
  • An amount of tea and volume: 1-2 tsp per 150 - 200 ml.
  • A number of brewings: 5-10.

 

  1. Place the tea leaves into the teapot and pour water into it
  2. The first filling lasts a few seconds and the water must be drained, thus washes the tea leaves.
  3. Pour water into the teapot again
  4. Leave the mixture for at least 20-45 seconds*
  5. Drain the water out from a teapot and your tea is ready to serve

 

* Increase time of next brewing for 10-20 seconds.
