It gives the tea a unique flavor and aroma. Some call it "Black Milk Tea", perhaps due to the fact that the Thais sometimes drink it with milk. Another interesting way to prepare it by adding lemon and honey or sugar. In the cold time can mix it with ice.

How to Prepare Traditional Thai Black Tea

  • Water temperature: 100 degrees Celsius.
  • Housewares: transparent, porcelain or ceramic teapot or mug.
  • An amount of tea and volume: 2-3 tsp per 200 - 300 ml.
  • A number of brewings: 1.

 

  1. Place the tea leaves into the teapot.
  2. Pour water into the teapot.
  3. Leave the mixture for at least 1 - 2 min.
  4. Drain the water out from a teapot and your tea is ready to serve.

 

The milk or honey and lemon can be added.
